Writings about sound

I love reading about sound. It's maybe a paradoxon, but for me it's always a real pleasure to read about sounds or music and imagine them. So I will recommend two books about sound, especially environmental sounds.
Take A Closer Listen published by Rutger Zuydervelt, better known as Machinefabriek. And Field Notes #2 by the Grünrekorder Collective.

sorry

Since half of a year, nothing happens here. So sorry. In the meantime the database or character encoding is fucked up and I don't know why :-(. But new releases will come, at least two.
The first one is ready to go the other one is unclear at the moment.
Fieldmuzick is not dead, it just stinks a bit. But the mayrain will wash it away. So stay tuned to your environment and your stereo. Till later!

PS: The trip to Paris for the Qwartz Nomination was really nice. Many thanks to them to make it possible.

site updates

These days I did some updates on website. in detail, I stripped down and merge lot of code, fixed hopefully most of the Internet Explorer glitches (this software really sucks) and decided to close the blog section, because it was not the most readed part of the website (beside the product review of Digitech JamMan Loop-Pedal, the Roland SP-555 and the TASCAM Midistudio Manual) - all of these sites are still available over serchengines, the internal sitemap, but I will not add any new articles. The text + sound section is not more often visited, but I will keep it and add some stuff from time to time. If you have any suggestion, please write a comment, thanks! THANKS!

zenCast 7 for the zenapolæ netlabel

preview of fields² album by dronæment and some other great artists related to field muzick

I am happy to inform you about a special podcast I've setup for the great zenapolæ netlabel . It's special, because you will get a preview of the forthcomming dronæment album fields² and you will find some tracks by fieldmuzick artists and something other (the great porcelain in the backpack and the vévé seashore). I think it's a nice mixture of field recordings, drones and sounds and music and I hope you enjoy. And please check out the other zenapolæ releases as well, because they are very good.
