Pumpspeicherwerk Markersbach

I’ve been visiting the Unterbecken in Markersbach/ Ore Mountains for about 10 years now. It is part of the Vattenfall energy corporation, which also runs a couple of other hydroelectric water plants. The Markersbach plant was built between 1970 and 1981 and has been operational until today.

Logoplasm are raw and intense musique concrete. Their work tell storys of everyday life of the couple behind. It's raw and intense, full of everyday sounds.

Snapshot from my window, 25. may 2007 at 21:15 o clock. I love the birds outside and it makes me smiling when I heard the funny "melody" from the bird at minute 1:20.

buddha @ unterbecken

As you know, I my favorite place is the hydro-electric-powerstation „unterbecken“.
I made a lot of field recordings there and since I owned a buddha maschine, it's possible to mix my tracks live. Ok, the buddha maschine is very minimal in sounds and it would be cool, if there exist a device, which is small, running on batteries, have a build in speaker and process sounds. If there is something like this (a kind of minisampler or mini synthie or both :-) - drop me a line.)

I recorded this snapshot this morning. I'ts wonderful to hear all this birdnoise, after a long period of whitenoise (winter season).
